GOOD SPORT

300 LB. SWORDFISH CAUGHT PARTY FROM WHITIANGA Good sport was obtained by a party of Whitianga fishing enthusiasts, Messrs C. L. Smith. T. Bronlund, R. A. Smith, L. Armstrong, L. Russell, A. Simpson and A. White, fishing from the launch Etta at Red Mercury Island on Sunday. Besides capturing one good swordfish weighing over 3001b5., three others were sighted. Weather conditions were perfect, adding to the enjoyment of the day. The fish caught provided spectacular thrills, the swordfish broaching several times. '

The party hooked two sharks besides but did not succeed in landing them. Mr Charlie Smith was the fortunate angler.
