DEATH OF MR EDWIN DOIDGE} WORKED ON THAMES PAPER Advice has been received of the death at Vaucluse, Sydney, of z Mr Edwin Doidge, a veteran journalist of New Zealand and Australia, aged 86. Mr Doidge was born in England and came to New Zealand as a child with his parents, Mr and Mrs John Doidge, who made their residence successively at Auckland, Howick and Thames. While engaged in newspaper work at Thames, Mr Doidge married Miss jMary 'Chilcoty, of Thames. Later, he went to Australia, and retired to live in Sydney about 20' years ago. Mr Doidge is survived by his wife, three daughters and two sons, Mr F. W. Doidge, M.P. for Tauranga, and Mr Dudley Doidge, of Australia.
