FAT PIGS AT PAEROA SALE The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company Ltd report that at their Paeroa pig sale held on Monday they penned and sold under the hammer a good yarding, of bac- — oners, porkers, stores and slips- No weaners were penned. Values fur baconers and porkers were well in advance of schedule, competition being keen throughout for all classes of fat pigsBidding was brisk between the buttermilk contractors for pigs needing topping off. In the store line sows in pig of fair quality sold well, while stores and slips were up in value on last week’s pig sale held in Paeroa. Heavy baconers, £3 18s to £4; medium baconers, £3 13s to £3 16s; light baconers, £3 10s to £3 12s. Buttermilk and heavjr porkers, £3 5s to £3 9s; medium porkers, £2 18s to £3 3s; light porkers, £2 9s to £2 15; choppers, £1 to £2 17s; stores, £2 to £2 7s; slips, £1 10s to £1 17s; boars, £2 5s to £3 ss; sows in pig, £1 15s to £4 17s 6d.
