STEADY DEMAND
FAT PIG VALUES' MAINTAINED GOOD SALE AT MORRINSVILLE The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company Limited report ■that at their weekly Morrinsville stock sale on Friday there was a good entry of fat sheep, for which competition was keen, late rates being realised. A full offering of store hoggets, including the advertised line of ewe hoggets, elicited ..brisk bidding, and changed hands at satisfactory prices. A large yarding of all classes of fat and store cattle, with a better supply of beef which met steady competition and realised late current rates. Boner and store cows sold freely. Jersey heifers were easier of sale. A small yarding of dairy cattle did not include many quality lines. Competition for in-milk heifers and animals close to profit was steady, and last week’s rates maintained. Poor and backward sorts were not wanted.
A very large offering of fat pigs met a steady demand, with values fully up to last week’s quotations.
