SPIRITED DEMAND

CLOSE TO PROFIT HEIFERS £l4/5-/- PAID AT MORRINSVILLE The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company Limited reports that at their Morrinsville stock sale on -Friday a small yarding of fat and store sheep, comprising chiefly hoggets, came forward. Competition was keen throughout and recent high values maintained. A smaller entry of beef sold readily at values in advance of those, ruling last week. Boner cows and stores also sold freely at more than schedule rates. Bidding was spirited for a medium offering of empty and yearling Jersey heifers. A spirited demand existed for all classes with close up heifers of quality selling to £l4 ss. Backward heifers were also more keenly sought after, with dairy cows selling freely. There was another large yarding of all classes of pigs, with competition steady throughout and prices showing little alteration on those ruling last week. Quotations'. —
