SAFETY FILM
SCREENING FOR CHILDREN PARENTS IN THE EVENING COLLECTION TO BE MADE Arrangements for the Auckland Automobile Association to screen a new colour safety film before the children and parents on Tuesday, August 18 were approved at Monday night’s meeting of the Paeroa District High School Committee. The Paeroa agent of the Automobile Association, Mr J. M. Craig, wrote to the meeting asking for permission to screen the film which he stated was.both instructive and interesting. The Parish Hall had been booked for the purpose, he stated, and. the children would he shown the film in the following age groups:—lnfants (184 on roll), Standards 1,2, 3 (182) and Standards 4, 5 and 6 (118). The High School pupils would also attend at the last session. The first session would commence at 10 a.m.
The film would again be shown in the evening to the parents and any others who care to attend. Mr Craig suggested that the committee take up a collection at this evening screening and that the whole of the proceeds could be donated to the school cinematograph fund. It was agreed to distribute tickets for the evening screening, the headmaster. undertaking to arrange this.-
