BOWLERS’ ACTIVITIES
ANNUAL MEETING OF CLUB
OFFICERS FOR YEAR ELECTED
The Coromandel Bowling Club held their annual meeting in the club pavilion on Thursday, July 30. The president, Mr T. M. Lillis, presided. Also present were ‘Messrs Hovell, 'Beveridge, Murphy, Strongman, McKenzie, Jamieson, Ngapo, Glogoski, Horne, Campbell and. the secretary, F. A. Marshall. The report and balance sheet were presented and explained by the secretary, after which the balance sheet was adopted. A report by the chairman was also presented and duly received.
The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mr R. Campbell; secretary, Mr F. A. Marshall (reelected); vice-presidents, Messrs Lillis, Horne, Murphy, McKenzie and Beveridge; committee, Messrs Benham, Strongman, Hovell and Glogoski; green superintendent, Mr Ngapo; delegate to centre, Mr J. W. Barker; hon. auditor, Mr Brook. Mr Lillis, retiring president, thanked the members 1 for past cooperation. It was resolved that a letter of thanks be sent to Miss Evans re auditing of the books. Accounts were duly passed for payment. A resolution was carried to the effect’ that the annual subscription be increased by 50t per cent., i.e., £3 3s. This motion was carried unanimously. It was resolved that firstyear players subscriptions be £2 2s. A social committee consisting of Messrs Lillis, McKenzie and, Beveridge was elected.
