RETAIN GRADE OF SCHOOL ROLL OF 441 NEEDED FIVE-YEAR-OLDS IN PAEROA “We are still short of about 13 to 15 pupils to retain the present grade of the school,” reported the headmaster, Mr A. E. Day, to Monday night’s meeting of the Paeroa District High School Committee. In extending an invitation to parents of five-year-old children to bring them along for enrolment Mr Day explained that a roll of 441 children was required to retain the grade of VIC. “The respective rolls are 428 and 77 the corresponding averages being 338 and 71, sickness being prevalent,” added the headmaster’s report.
