“Smoking is an agreeable vice,” writes Professor Ludenhall in an English review. ‘Well, come to that, most vices are “agreeable.” But if smoking is a vice, it is assuredly the parent of some virtues. Doesn’t it aid reflection (and digestion!) tranquilise the mind, help the brainworker, and drive dull care away? If it does not there’s something wrong with the tobacco. You can go nap on that! Some brands, (overloaded with nicotine) it must be admitted, are not safe to smoke. They may wreck the nerves, affect the heart, or play up with you in some" other way, although you may not realise it until it’s too late and the mischief’s done. Five brands there are though, which will never let you down —Cut Plug No. 10 (Bullshead), Navy Cut No. 3 (Bulldog), Pocket Riverhead Gold and Desert 'Gold. All are sweet, cool and fragrant—also harmless. Toasting makes them safe and helps to give them their wonderful appeal and widespread popularity. There’s no better tobacco the world over, than toasted. It is imitated but never equalled. It stands alone!
