STILL TWICE A DAY
AUCKLAND BUS SERVICE TIME-TABLE ALTERED COMMENCING NEXT THURSDAY Decisions on road transport services between Auckland and centres in the Thames Valley, including the services conducted by Transport Ltd. from Auckland across the Hauraki Plains through Paeroa to Waihi, were announced on Wednesday by the No. 1 Licensing Authority, Mr E. J. Phelan. A review of this service was made at a public hearing of the authority at Thames recently.
Under the present time-table of this service cars leave ’ Auckland twice daily at 11.15 a.m. and 3.0 1 p.m. and at 6 pan. on Sunday and depart from Waihi at 8 a.m. and 1'2.20 p.m. daily and at 4.45 p.m. on Sundays. This service is now cancelled and commencing from Thursday next, August 13, the time-table will be as under:
From Waihi: 8 a.m., 3.30 p.m. daily
and Sunday 4.45 p.m. Depart Paeroa: 8.30' a.m., 4.0 p.m. daily and Sunday 5.15 p.m. Depart Ngatea: 9 a.m., 4.30 p.m. daily and Sunday 5.45 p.m. Arrive Auckland: 11.15 a.m., 6.45 p.m. daily and Sunday 8.0 p.m. Depart Auckland: 9 a.m., 3 p.m. daily and Sunday 6 p.m. Arrive Ngatea: 11.10, a.m., 5.10-p.m. daily and Sunday 8.15 p.m. Arrive Paeroa: 11.40 a.m., 5.40' p.m. daily and Sunday 8.45 p.m. Arrive Waihi: 12.15 p.m., 6.15 p.m. daily and Sunday 9.15 p.m. Only one bus is to run on each trip. , No decision as yet has been given on the Waihi-Paeroa and PaeroaThames services.
.The operators of the Thames,Auckland service are asked to submit an amended time-table with the deletion of one trip daily from Mondays to Sundays inclusive.
