NATIONAL SAVINGS
“THE BATTLE ON HOME FRONT”
STEADY PROGRESS MADE
The army of National Savers on the Home Front is again increasing. Last week 88 towns, including 11 of the 18 provincial centres,. attained their National Savings quotas. Blenheim, with a weekly quota of £576, last week saved no less than £3771.
The distinction of having flown their flags at the mast-head every week since the inception of the scheme in October. 1941, is still shared by New Plymouth, Ashburton, Cheviot, Hawarden, Hawera, Hunterville, Raikoura, Urenui and W eber.
