ALL SERVICES CLUB PAEROA REQUIREMENTS MONEY FROM PATRIOTIC FUND Authority to incur an initial capital expenditure not exceeding £2O and to make a quarterly grant of an amount not exceeding £lO to the Paeroa All Services Club was received at Monday night’s meeting cf the Paeroa District Patriotic Committee from the Auckland Provincial Patriotic Council. The secretary of the club, Mr D. Jenkins, wrote stating that the main requirements of the club were as under: Lino square, estimated cost £4 10s; wireless, £l5; miscellaneous games, competitions, etc., £5; cups, saucers and plates, £5; various extras, including a small cupboard and curtains for windows, extra chairs, etc., £lO.

“Writing materials are also very much in demand and any help in this direction would be greatly appreciated. “Electric power is being supplied free of charge by courtesy of the power board but rent of the club premises amounts to £1 per week. “At present our funds stand at approximately £2o', while monthly subscriptions are expected to realise £5 to £6 per month. “Your support is earnestly solicited for this cause, and any assistance you may offer will be greatly appreciated,” wrote the secretary. The question of the expenditure of the money was left in the hands of the sub-committee appointed at a previous meeting.
