BEER FROM PAEROA

SENT AS FAR AS TE KUITI

RAILWAYS USED FOR CARTAGE

It was disclosed at Wednesday’s sitting of the Licensing Authority that beer from Paeroa goes as far afield as Te Kuiti. This information was given by an executive of the Simon’s Proprietary, Ltd., Paeroa, in seeking a renewal of a goods service license. However, he stated that 90 1 per cent, was now sent by rail to Te Kuiti, the balance being delivered by lorry to residents of the Hauraki Plains. If the delivery is discontinued it will cut off the life-line of the brewery, he said.
