Not Penny Wise

During a recent Sunday nightsoldiers’ concert at the Palmerston North Opera House a diversion was caused by pennies being thrown on the stage. One of the youths responsible appeared before Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M., in" the Magistrate’s Court, Palmerston North, and admitted the offence. A conviction was entered, and the youth was ordered to pay costs 10s. ’ The magistrate intimated that a repetition of these pranks would result in fines.
