PLAINS DEVELOPMENT VOTE MR SUTHERLAND’S QUESTION Speaking in the House of Representatives recently, Mr A. S. Sutherland, M.P. for Hauraki, commented on the reduction in the Estimates for construction of work and acquisition of land for drainage operations in the Hauraki Plains Drainage District from £17,500 to £14,095. He said that he was not altor gether satisfied that the amount was sufficient and, perhaps the Minister would consider increasing the amount. The consented to look into the question. Mr Sutherland thanked the Under-Secretary for Lands and his officers for consideration extended to him.
