WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

MEETING AT WAITAKARURU There was a good attendance at the monthly meeting of the Waitakaruru Women’s Institute held recently when Mrs Pacey presided. Members were very interested in the << Dorman Banner” which was recently won by the Institute and which was on display at the meeting and pleasure was expressed at this achievement. An address on the gathering and preparing of briar rose berries to substitute orange juice was ably given by Mrs Ganley. Owing to the unavoidable absence of the secretary, Mrs' McPherson very capably filled the position.
