SCHOOL COCOA FUND
REQUEST TO COUNTY COUNCIL MEMBERS CONTRIBUTE A letter was received from the Corci.’.andel School Committee at the monJ ly meeting of the Coromandel County Council, asking the council to make a donation to the school towards the cocoa fund. After a short discussion it was proposed 'by Cr. T. V. Whittle and seconded by Cr. H. C. Bull, “that the council is not authorised to spend county funds for this purpose but members would make a contribution.”
It was further pointed out that each school committee should raise theii' own funds for this purpose, as was the case in other districts on the Peninsula.
