ACCESS TO RAILWAY STATION

(To the Editor;) Sir, —In your report of the last Paeroa 'Borough ’Council meeting I noticed the matter of a road, from the Paeroa Railway Station to Puke road was . 'brought up. As an ardent supporter of same for many years may I suggest that councillors interested interview the member for Thames, on Thursday and. ■ get him if possible to view the suggested route for the proposed road, and get his support, so that when the time is opportune to proceed with the . work the council could apply for a large subsidy. Seeing that the station when removed from its former site was 1 put into, shall I say, a pocket, without adequate roading facilities provided, I think that the outlet to the Puke road and a road ' proceeding from the north-east side of the Railway Station across country north of the Paeroa quarry to connect with the main Thames road ' should be constructed.—l .am, etc., W. H. CHEALE. Netherton, 17:6:42.
