KNITTING FOR THE SOLDIERS

135 ARTICLES MADE IN PAEROA

During the month just ended 135 knitted articles were sent to Zone Headquarters by the Paeroa and District Patriotic Committee, reported the secretary to Moonday night’s meeting of the committee.

Details were as under:—Scarves 49, balaclavas 56, pairs mittens 23, pairs socks 7—total 135.

“This is a splendid effort for one month and although handicapped by the shortage of wool this committee is doing excellent work,” concluded the report.
