Second Prize for Butter Competing in the Waikato Winter Show competitions, Mr F. W. Kelsey of the Mercury Bay Co-operative Dairy Company secured second prize in the competition for butter for managers who never won a prize at a Waikato Winter Show. Use For Steel Helmets During a discussion at the Coromandel E.P.S. Township Committee meeting as to whether or not to procure steel helmets for E.P.S. wardens, it was suggested by one member that if the helmets are not required for their original purpose that they could ibe sold as souvenirs for flower pots after the war was over.
