HOME GUARD
SHOOT AT KENNEDYSS BAY INTEREST SHOWN BY WOMEN The Kennedy’s Bay platoon of the Coromandel Homs Guard was visited during the week-end when a shoot at 2'5 yards was held. All members of the platoon put in good work, quite a number scoring very high, the enthusiasm of the team being extremely good. A feature of the parades in many of the outlying districts i& the interest shown by the womenfolk and Kennedy’s Bay is well to the fore in this respect, providing a hot drink of tea during the luncheon interval. During the afternoon Capt. J. H. Lucas addressed the ladies present on the subject of forming themselves into a branch, of the W.W.S.A. which will give them some definite object to work for and so co-ordinate their efforts.
