“FLIGHT COMMAND”

PROGRAMME AT REGENT ROMANCE & ADVENTURE ROBT. TAYLOR—RUTH HUSSEY The eyes of the world look skywards. “ Flight Command,” which screens at the Regent Theatre on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday stars Robert Taylor, Ruth Hussey, Walter Pidgeon, Paul Kelly, Sheppard Strudwick, Nat Pendleton and Dick Purcell. Here they come! Zooming into your hearts—the flying, loving “Hell Cats” of the air! Aviation has immense appeal these days, and this is what makes Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’s “Flight Command” so interesting. Practically every thrill within the experience of American naval aviators' is shown in the flight sequences of the film, which, tells the adventures of the “Hell Cats” flying squadron. Filmed with the co-operation of the United States Navy, .the picture shows Robert Taylor escaping by parachute from a doomed plane to land with a fog device; and at battle practice at sea. The romantic problems of the film are caused ? When Taylor falls in love with the wife of his Flight Commander’ (Walter Pidgeon), but for once Mr Taylor does not “get the woman.”

A newcomer who makes an outstanding impression is Sheppard Strudwick, who plays the heroine’s ill-fated brother with much distinction.

Also note the humorist of the squadron whose members make as companionable a group as the screen has offered in aviation films.
