PETROL PUMPS
REDUCTION OF THE FEES TO ASSIST RESELLERS ‘ ‘ Regulations have been issued, to become effective on April 1, reducing the fees paid by petrol rcsePers under the Industrial Efficiency Act, ’ ’ said the Minister for Industries and Commerce, Mr D. G. Sullivan, recently at Christchurch. “Some time ego, •he added, “super grade was eliminated from the market, and as’petrol re-
strictions have greatly affected the business of resellers, there ar? many idle pumps throughout the country. Owing to considerations of defence, it is necessary to keep these pumps in operation and the present S’ale of ;€1 per pump has been altered to £.I for the first pump and £2 for two pumps or more.
“This should help those resellers whose establishments carry a largo number of 'pumps, which were needed previously to service many brands and grades of petrol.”
