Public Notices NEHERTON DRAINAGE gO ARD RATES FOR 1938-38. NOTICE is hereby given in terms of Section 54 of the Rating Act, 1925, that it is the intention of the Netherton Drainage Board, at its meeting to be held in the Netherton Hall, Netherton, on Wednesday, the 26th. day of October, 1938, at 1 p.m. to make and levy under Section 31 of the Land Drainage Act, 1908, and Sections 3 and 4 of the Land Drainage Amendment Act, 1913, a General Rate upon the unimproved value and upon a graduated scale, according to Glassification of lands within the several Subdivisions of the Netherton Drainage Board as follows:— Within the Northern Subdivision upon all Lands classified “A” 2 and 5/Bths pence in the £, upon all lands classified “B” 1 and 6/Bths pence in the £, upon all lands classified “C” 7/Bths pence in the £. Within the Awaiti Subdivision upon all lands classified “A” 2 and 7/10ths of a penny in the £, upon all lands classified “B” 1 and 8-10ths of a penny in the £, upon all lands classified “C” 9/10ths. of a penny in the £. Within the “H” Drain Sub-

division upon all lands classified “A” 3 and 3/10ths. of a penny in . the £, upon all lands classified “B” 2 and 2/10ths of a penny in the £, upon all lands classified “C” 1 and l/10th. pence in the £. All the above Rates shall be for the period commencing on the Ist. day of April, 1938, and ending on the 31st. day of March, 1939, and be payable to the Clerk to the Board at his Office, Turua Buildings, Turua, on the Ist. day of November, 1938. A Rebate of 5 per cent, will be allowed on the amount of all Rates paid within 30 days of due date. The Rate Book and Valuation Roll are open for inspection during office hours at the office of the undersigned, aforesaid.
