SOCIAL NOTES

The Paeroa Girls’ Bridge Club met on Wednesday evening at the residence of Mrs R. S. Nicol, when the first prize was won by Mrs A. T. Jones and the second by Miss Joan Day. On behalf of the club, Miss L. Thorp made a presentation to Mrs F. G. White who is leaving the district.

A most enjoyable card afternoon was held at the home of Mrs T. Wheeler recently in aid of the Ngatea W.D.F.U. The winner of the competition bag was Mrs Flynn, while the cards were won by Mesdames Sherlock, Keyes, Barr and Wheeler.
