BUTTERMILK BUYERS ACTIVE LOAN COMPANY’S QUOTATIONS. An average yarding of pigs was penned at the fortnightly sale conducted at Paeroa on Monday by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company. All pigs sold on a par with outside sale rates with the exception of all classes of porkers which showed improvement and were keenly sought after by buttermilk buyers. Slips were again in demand but weaners showed an easing tendency. Medium baconers made from £3 12s to £4 Is; lighter baconers £3 2s to £3 8s; choppers £2 10s to £3 14s; heavy porkers £2 15s to £3; medium porkers £2 7s to £2 13s; light and unfinished 38s to £2 4s; slips 23s to 28s; good weaners 18s to 235; others 8s to 12s. Sows close to profit made from £2 10s to £3 15s and service boars from 1 guinea to 2 guineas.
