Countering Stray Dogs.
To combat the stray dog menace in the borough, the St. Kilda Council, Dunedin, has decided to have a bylaw prepared prohibiting dogs from entering shops. In addition it intends to make it unlawful for Alsatian dogs to be in any of the borough streets unless niuzzled or on a leash. The council is also seeking the co-opera-tion of the Ocean Beach Domain Board in having the menace removed from the beach.
