TO-MORROW’S GAMES
PAEROA AND PLAINS FIXTURES ARRANGED. Weather permitting, the outdoor games to be played to-morrow in Paeroa and on Hauraki Plains, will be as follows: — BOWLING. The Paeroa Bowling Club will continue its Brenan Shield competition. RIFLE SHOOTING. The Paeroa Defence Rifle Club will continue its competition at the Komata range, the shooting being from the 200 and 300 yard ranges. PAEROA CRICKET. The Paeroa Cricket Club has finalised arrangements for games with Te Aroha on Saturday, one team to play at Te Aroha and the other at Paeroa. The following teams have been chosen to represent Te Aroha: — To play at Te Aroha: Sheely, Cleave, O’Dea snr., Kemp, McLeod, Raeburn, McDonald, Budd, O’Dea jr., Candy, Alp and Edmonds. To play at Paeroa: Aislabie, Pickett, Jackson, Rigden, Fox, Toms, Bree, Arthur, Quincey, Kerr, Young and Mortimer. The Paeroa teams are as announced on Monday. PLAINS CRICKET. The interclub competition matches on Hauraki Plains set down for tomorrow are the second innings of the fifth series of the first round but as three of the four games last Saturday were postponed it is probable that the clubs concerned will mutually arrange to play the first innings. These are: Waitakaruru at Ngatea, Kerepeehi at Maramarua, and Kopuarahi at Hopai. Last Saturday Kaihere made 106 for two wickets and dismissed Pipiroa fcr 53. PAEROA TENNIS. In accordance with the recommendation of the recent general meeting, the Paeroa Tennis Club will hold a club tournament to-morrow if the courts are sufficiently dry and there are sufficient players present.
