Public Notices. BOROUGH OF pAEROA IN THE MATTER OF ONE REPRESENTATIVE ON THE THAMES HOSPITAL BOARD FOR THE CONTRIBUTORY DISTRICT OF PAEROA. PURSUANT to “The Local Elections and Polls Amendment Act, 1934-35, “The Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926,” and the Amendments thereto; I hereby give Public Notice that — PHILIP EDWARD BRENAN has been duly nominated as a candidate for the office of one member of the Thames Hospital Board. And the number of candidates nominated not exceeding the number of vacancies to be filled, I hereby declare the said PHILIP EDWARD BRENAN to be duly elected to such office. NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council held on the 14th day of March, 1935, a resolution was passed to operate as a Special Order, and will be submitted for confirmation at a meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council to be held at 1 p.m. on the 22nd day of May, 1935, at the County Council Chambers at Ngatea.

PURPORT OF RESOLUTION. That the full provisions of Section 131 Subsection (Id) of the Counties Act, 1920, be given effect to in the County of Hauraki Plains from April Ist, 1935. NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council, held on the 11th day of April, 1935, the following resolution was passed and will be submitted for confirmation at a Special Meeting of the said Council to be held on the 22nd day of May, 1935, at 12.30 p.m. at the County Council Chambers at Ngatea:— RESOLUTION. In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by Section 2 of the Counties Amendment Act, 1931, the Council of the County of Hauraki Plains hereby resolves that after the 31st day of March, 1936, Sections 121 and 131 of the Counties Act, 1920, shall not apply to the said Council.
