GROWING GOLD YIELD.

Mining Boom in Victoria The gold yield of Victoria for the past year was approximately 60,000 ounces fine. The gold yield for 1932 was 47,745 ounces. In 1930 it was only 24,119 ounces. The gold production of the Bendigo field for 1933 was the largest for ten years, 28,806 ounces. This yield showed an increase of 5358 ounces over the previous year, when the production was 23,448 ounces. Bendigo was the richest and greatest goldfield of the ’fifties of last century. There was then shallow alluvial sinking. Since then there was deep reef-mining, now revived because of the higher price of gdd.
