HAMILTON STOCK SALE.

The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company Ltd. reports that at the weekly sale in the Frankton yards on Tuesday last there was a good yarding of both ewe and wether mutton and prices, especially for prime ewes, showed an increase on the previous sale. An average yarding of ox beef met with an improved demand throughout, especially medium and light weight cattle. Prices for all good quality cows and' heifers showed a decided increase, while second quality also improved. Boner cows and bulls maintained schedule rates. A heavy yarding of pigs came forward, values for baconers again being much firmer than those ruling’ at last week’s sale. There was also a good yarding of stores, but values in this section showed a decided drop. Quotations: — Sheep: Prime fat wethers to 27s 9d, heavy fat wethers 23s to 24s 9d, unfinished wethers £1 0s 3d to 21s 6d, prime maiden ewes 20s to 225, heavy fat efwes 16s 2d to 17s lOd, prime fat lambs 20s 3d to 21s 6d, medium 16s to 18s 3d, good store lambs 14s to 16s 6d, other store lambs 11s 2d to 12s, mixed age ewes 16s Id to 18s 4d, sound mouth ewes 12s Id to 13s sd.

Cattle: Vealers 19s to 255, medium weight steers £6 Ils to £6 14s, light £5 9s to £5 19s, prime fat cows £5 to £5 ss, medium fat cows and heifers £4 to £4 10 s, lighter £2 17s 6d to £3 10s, heavy boners 28s to 355, bulls £3 to £4.

Pigs: Heavy baconers £2 18s to £3 2s, medium £2 13s to £2 17s, ligjht baconers £2 8s to £2 12is, heavy porkers £1 18s to £2 3s, medium 33s to 375, light porkers 27s to 325, choppers £1 Is to 38s, stores 15s to 18s, slips 8s to 12s, weaners 5s to 7s 6d. COROMANDEL SHEEP FAIR. A good yarding of up to 3000' sheep was offered at Messrs Dalgety and Coy.’s Coromandel fair held on Tuesday, and prices were practically on a par with those of the Colville sale held the previous day. A number of buyers from the Waikato were present.

Wethers were in great demand and sold at advanced rates, ranging from 18s 6d to £1 4s 9d; ewes, 2-tooth ordinary quality, 245; other ewes, rather lower, from 8s 7d to 19s ,4d, according to age and size. Rams brought from t guineas to 51 guineas. Inferior ewe lambs brought up to 10s 4d, and wether lambs from 7s 4d up to 12s, according to size. A small yarding of better class ewes and lambs were withdrawn from, the .sale. Several ponies put up brought up to £3, and good sheep dogs up to £7.
