MAJESTIC BALL ROOM.

SUCCESSFUL SATURDAY EVENING. To the tuneful rendering by the Collegians’ 1 ' orchestra of the latest jazz wdltz entitled, “Lititle Sweetheart of the Prairie,” dance patrons from all parts of the Thames Valley opened up an enjoyable programme at the Majestic Ball Room, Thaifies, on Saturday evening last, under the direction of Mr J. W. Neate. The scheme of decorations, arranged by Mr A. Hunter, was completed for the function by the erection of electrical equipment and the effectiveness of the whole design, won favourable comment from all the patrons present. So successful was Mr Hunter’s work considered to be that he has been specially engaged to decorate the Pipirba Hall for the opening dance early in June. New numbers played by the Collegians were: “Why Did It Have To Be Me,” “I Promise You,” “I’ll Make a Happy Landing.” and, by special request, Mr L. Mcllbride gave a vocal rendering of “Home Sick.” Lucky door prizes were wori by Mr and Mrs Lloyd, Miss Marshall and Mr Potter, Miss Law and Mr Johnson, Miss McKay and Mr Murphy. The Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss Adamson and Mr R. Olsen.

Next' Saturday a monster carnival evening is being arranged, buses to run as advertised.
