Messrs B. A. Meek and W. S. Thorpe, Government auditors, are now in Paeroa auditing the hooks of the local Government authorities. Mr D. B. Currie has returned to his duties in the National Bank of New Zealand, Paeroa, after spending a fortnight’s holiday fishing and shooting at Mercury Bay. Mr Eugene Shaw, whose spine was dislocated a month ago yesterday, is, considering the extent of his injuries, making wonderful progress in the Thames Hospital. He has the will to live, and thus has a good sporting "hance of recovery. He is slowly recovering the use of his arms and asserts that he is recovering the sense of feeling in his legs.
