SILVER SLIPPER.

THAMES CABARET. ATTENDANCE INCREASES. Yet another wonderful attendance is to be recorded from the Silver Slipper Cabaret, Thames, on Saturday evening last, when a record gathering of patrons had the pleasure of dancing to new music supplied by the Collegians. supplemented by two additional musicians. These were Messrs Rangi Campbell (Paeroa), trumpet and H. Bolton (Auckland), violinist, lender of the famous Apache Band. Request numbers were supplied as follows: "You’ll Be Mine in Apple Blossom Time,” and "Swinging in a Hammock.” New numbers recently received from England were played and were given :i great reception. They were: "One Little Rain Drop," and "Dream a Little Dream of Me.” Features of the evening were Mr H. Bolton':: exquisite violin solo of "You’ll Remember Vienna,” played during the jazz waltz. He was repeatedly encored. Mr Rangi Campbell plr.yed a trumpt solo, "My Canary Has Circles Under His Eyes.”, Winners of lucky door numbers were: Miss Baker and Mr Ashcroft. Miss Shelly and Mr Stacey, Miss C. Munroe and Mr Fisher, Miss J. Scott and Mr E. Farr. The Monte Carlo was won by Miss Luth Wheeler and Mr W., George. Unfmtunately the flashlight photogi aph taken the previous week was not a success, but arrangements have been completed to take another tomorrow evening. No hold up is anticipated on this occasion, as thlp photo will be taken from the gallery. Extras were supplied by Miss Jenj.ir gs and Mr R. Campbell and the evenin'; rendered more enjoyable by abundance of confdtti and streamers. Buser for to-morrow’s dance will un from all the usual centres — Te Aroha, Morrinsville, Paeron, and Waite karuru.
