“A rattling good issue," will he the verdict after the pages of this week’s issue of the "New Zealand Sporting and Dramatic Review" have been perused. Events of universal importance have been extensively illustrated, together with a selection of the most important sports happeugs, a combination which makes for a specially good number. Because of the outstanding beauty and charm the coloured supplement of the screen star Marian Marsh, must be mentioned first, and running a very close second is the lovely frontispiece of ' the fair Marilyn Miller. The great event of the year in the sporting world, the New Zealand Cup meeting at Riccarton, is pictured in a lively series that is truly representative of the spirit of the turf. Attention will, of course, be centred on the pages dcnicting Spearful’s great win and the iup presentation. The first photo- | graphs of Sino-Jap warfare in Man- " churi* throw, a very interesting sidelight on an event which is disturbing the world’s peace.
