OFFICIAL OPENING TO-NIGHT,
SPECIAL PROGRAMME SHOWING.
The new Aurora. Theatre, under, the management of Mr P. J- Jennings, Paeroa, is to be officially opened at 8 o’clock to-night by His Worship the Mayor (Mr W. Marshall). A special vaudeville act will afterwards be presented, followed by a specially selected picture programme. YOU NEVER KNOW WOMEN. In “You Never Know Women,” which is to be shown to-night, is given Florence Vidor her first opportunity to appear as a full-fledged screen star. She portrays the role of a Russian vaudeville performer, a character vastly different from the ones she enacted in “The Grand Duchess and the Waiter” and “Are Parents People ?”

One of the most popular books of America's foremost woman novelist comes to the screen in “Perch of the Devil,” which is to be screened tomorrow night. It is regarded by critics as one of Gertrude Atherton’s strangest works.
