PERSONAL.
Mr A. Arthur,, who has been stationmaster at, Thames for the past two and a half years, has been promoted to the position of stationmaster at Paeroa in place of Mr J. J. Rowe, who has been transferred to Christchurch. The Rev. J. M. Beaufort has been appointed to the parochial district of Turua and the Hauraki Plains. The Rev. Beaufort will be .the first resident vicar on the Plains., and it is. expected that he will be instituted to his office early in September. A resident of the early days of Waihi and Karangahake in the person of. Mr John' Henry Adams, eldest son of Mr H. H. Adams, of Thames, recently died at Sydney after a few days’ illness. The deceased is survived by his widow and one son, the former being a daughter of Mr McClymont, late of Karangahake.
