LEAGUE FOOTBALL
TRIAL MATCH. On Saturday a trial match will be played at Taupiri between a Possibles and Probables teams with a view to selecting a team to represent South Auckland against the Englishmen on August 4th. Following are the teams:POSSIBLES.
Fullback: G. Tittleton. Three-quarters; Hill, Garry, Smith. Five-eighths: W. Tittleton, Holland, Half: Peekham. Forwards: Mason, Menzies, Hogan, Mcßurney, Scott, Farrell.
PROBABLES. Fullback: Lee. Three-quarters: Tremain, C. Hill. Kelly. Fiveeighths: Barakat, Abbott. Half: Knight. Forwards: Payne, Paget, Trautvetter, Fox, Wilkinson, Jackways. Emergencies: W. Miki, Muir, Smith, Benjamin, McTeer, Shaw, Rayner.-
