TAUPIRI NEWS

PRESENTATION On the eve of their departure from Taupiri, to tike up their residence in Waharoa, Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Wright were the recipients of a handsome canteen of cutlery. The presentation was made in the Taupiri Hall on Thursday. For the past five years Mr. Wright has held the position of chairman of the Taupiri School committee, and taken a keen interest in all local matters. In making the presentation, Mr. A. 11. Waring referred to Mi Wright’s sterling qualities, and while congratulating him upon receiving promotion expressed the regret of the citizens at losing such a thoroughly reliable member of the community. Mr. Wright feelingly responded to the good wishes extended to him. Among those present were Mesdames N. Wilson, A. H. Waring, L. Powell, W. Waring, D. McKercher, W. Moore, A. J. Charles, J. H. Wilson, E. J. Powell, West, R. T. Hill, L. Lovell, Shaw, F. Wilson, Littlewood, and Vollemaere.
