ARCHDEACON COWIE

ORPHANS’ CLUB FAREWELL Members of the Hamilton Orphans’ Club held a social function on Monday evening in honour of Archdeacon E. M. Cowie, who is leaving the district. Archdeacon Cowie was presented with a smoker’s outfit and a fountain pen. The vice-president, Mr. H. J. Ferguson, referred to the excellent support the archdeacon had given the club during the past nine years. Mr. J. A. Young, M.P., expressed regret that the archdeacon was leaving Hamilton.
