Revised Postal Rates

From the Ist February, 1923. postage and telegraph charges will be reduced as follows : Letters and Letter Cards—lnland, l)<>d for first 2ozs. and Id for each additional 2zos, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, United Slates of America, and all other places to which Postal Union rates (minimum, 2}ajd) do not apply : ltd for first oz., and Id for each addiitonal oz. Post-cards —Inland, single Id, reply 2d. Packets —Comprising Commercial Papers (accounts, invoices, etc.), books and printed papers, Pattern and Sample packets, and unregistered Magazines—lnland Id not exceeding 2 ozs., ltd exceeding 2 ozs,, and not exceeding lozs., ltd for each additional 4 ozs, up to lib., and 2d for each idditional pound up to sib. Newspapers—lnland, %d each. Inland Telegrams—Week days —ordinary, 9d for first 12 words and Id for every additional. Urgent, 1/6 for first 12 words and 2d for each additional word. Sundays and holidays, double the rates for week days. Night Letter Telegrams—9d for first 27 words (including address and signature), and Id for each additional 3 words. Inland Money-order Telegrams —Ordinary, 1/ in addition to money-order commission. Urgent, 2/ in addition to money order commission. For private communicationfor the payee added to the official telegram of advice : Ordinary, Id per word, urgent 2d per word. Savings-bank Telegrams—Ordinary 9d, urgent 1/6. Inland Multiple Telegrams— The additional fee for each address after the first will be for ordinary telegrams, 4id, urgent telegrams 9d. Weather Telegrams for Farmers —Telegrams from farmers addressed “ Weather,” Wellington, seeking information as to the state of. the weather will be charged Is for the message and reply. A.
