MINERS’ ' HALL—TO-NIGHT A particularly good variety programme of distinctly interesting subjects will bo released to patrons this evening. The star feature is a majestic subject entitled “ Children of the Sea,” which_ Contains a story of great and unusual contrasts. The supporting subjects consist of eight magnetic contributions the chief of which is the 1915 Melboure Cup. This is a particularly. good film about 500 feet long, and depicts the whole race from start to finish. The comedy element is well to the fore, and a new artist called Billie Reeves will make his debut in “A Day in the Force.” Cartoons, topicals and extra dramas complete a very popular selection which should appeal to every one in search of good rational amusement.
For Saturday and Monday, Mr Calder has much pleasure in announcing that Miss Mary Pickford (the v : world’s'sweetheart), will appear on the screen in Such a Little Queen. This picture which is a famous player's production is said to be one of Mary’s crowning triumphs, and is considered to be one of the most charming and appealing- photoplays of the season. It is acted against very beautiful and picturesque settings, and with the principal part in Mary Pickford's capable hands, picture lovers are indeed in for an artistic treat. A specially chosen supporting programme will also he shown which includes a popular Keystone featuring Fatty Arbuckle. Patrons are advised to book early at McNee’s, and secure seats. Mary Pickford will be shown again on Monday to suit those who cannot attendon Saturday. change of program. Tuesday.
