NEW YORK, Dec. 15

' The National Broadcasting Company has heard the German radio announce that the British freighter Orani, which was owned by the New Zealand Shipping Company, has been torpedoed in the East Atlantic.

GERAIAN SHIP CAPTURED

LONDON, December 16

A British warship, which captured the ship Klaus Sehoke, has landed eight officers and twenty-two men jrT Britain. The ship lay for five months at a neutral port before the captain made a dash for Germany. A warship saw her sneaking through the Atlantic in the darkness. It tired a warning shot. The German crew surrendered to a hoarding party.
