ADDINGTON STOCK SALE (Per Press Association—Copyright). CHRISTCHUIICH, Dec. 4. Yardings were inclined to he smaller. Store sheep, of which there was Only a small yarding, sold well. There was a larger attendance of buyers, and everything offered met with a brisk inquiry. A line of Marlborough station wethers met with an excellent demand. The fat sheep offering was again small, about the same in size hs that of last week, and prices for all classes rose. The best ewes and wethers were in cases up to 3s a head dearer, and: all elapses participated to some extent in the pise. The fat lamb offering was again of jgood quality, and the sale was steady at slightly lower prices. In spite of ( a smaller yarding, fat cattlp were again cheaper, the fall being | from 10s to 25s a head. Stofe sheep: The entry was smaller than last week, comprising mostly wethers, [with a better showing of eves and lambs. •Fat. larribs: The entry comprised about 550 head. Values were Arm from, the outset. Good lambs realised above the export schedule. Fat sheep: There was shorter yarding of fat sheep, with a keen sale throughout. Wethers improved from 2s to 3s per head. Best ewes - were firmer by 2s 6d per head. Lighter sorts were Is., per head better. Fat cattle.; There was a slightly smaller yarding of beef. Values were easier. The sale was inclined to drag. Heavy beef was easier to' 15s per. head; medium weights being less affected. Plain sorts were easier by from 20s to 25s pep heqd. Best beef sold from 37s 6d to 40s per 100 lbs., most of that at the yarding was selling at under 37s 6d oer 100 lbs. Pigs. There was a large entry of fat pigs. The porkers opened, on a par with last week. They eased over the: concluding stages.
