Sentencing two youths of 17 years, Alien Wilson Parmenter Albert Raymond -Lawrie to Borstal detention for two years on charges of Breaking, entering and theft at Dunedin and Invercargill, Justice Kennedy said in both cases the accused committed senseless damage to premises. At Invercargill, flour, tea, sugar and eggs were thrown round the walls, earth and flower pots scattered, pictures, and clock smashed, gas taps turned on filling a house with th e gas, while in Dunedin an electric heater was sfnashed, a door kicked in, bottles of ink were ; thrown over scattered documents. . Both had been before the court pfev-‘ iously and warned.
