General situation. —A be4t of high pressure extends from New South Wales to beyond the North Island, while disturbances are passing to the south. The forecast is for moderate to fresh winds from a westerly quarter. Weather changeable, with occasional drizzle or rain. Moderate temperatures. Seas rather rough. ‘ SHIPPING NOTES. The Wailiapi leaves Greymouth for Wellington, when conditions permit. The Kakapo leaves Greymouth for Auckland via Westport when conditions permit. The Kaimiro is due at Greymouth next Monday from Wellington to load for return. The Gabriella is due at Greymouth to-night from Wellington to load for Miramar and Wellington. The Holmlea is due at Greymouth to-morrow from Wellington to load timber for return. The Kiwitea is loading at Greymouth coal and timber for Miramar and Wellington.
