Raffles however, decides to turn over a new leaf arid to give up his secret life of crime when he beepmes. engaged to Gwen Manders, played, by lovely Olivia do Haviiland. ironically, however, it is- just at this time that he furnishes the Yard with its first clue. Most of the action of “Raffles” unwinds on the beautiful country estate of Lady j : .Melrose,, tt-’h.ere action grows faster and faster, with-the defective and the genj Reman crook playing an exciting game of ..wits. The picture offers a rare treat to the moviegoer—itis played V a topnotch past., it teJJs a thrilling story, it jjms all the elements ; of first-rate entertainment—dirama, laughter, thrills, heart-throbs and mystery.
