TWO CLAIMS
FOR PATRIOTIC CAR. (Per Press Association--Copyright). CHRISTCHURCH, Sep. 12. Two claimants lor the'lo horse-powe; motor-car, which was the first prize in the Allied Motor Trades’ raffle for the Provincial Patriotic Fund, both oi whom say they inadvertently destroyed their ticket, are pressing their claims on the Department of Internal Affairs. The disposal of the car is the subject of correspondence between ' the City Council and the department. As the patriotic fund authorities were in doubt about procedure, the.two persons who claim to have held and destroyed tickets numbered D 22770 the winning number —have placed the matter before the depaitirent. The patriotic authorities arc providing the department with information •about ease. Until four months after July 31, the date of drawing the raffle', the patriotic authorities are compelled to hold the car.’ After that time the disposal of the car has to be determined by the Minister, for Internal Affairs.
