NEW AIR- SERVICE.

AUCKLAND, July 12. Advice that Colonel Clarence M. Yousg, Pacific division manager for Pan-American Airways, will travel to New Zealand by the American Clipper ,which is scheduled to leave Sun Francisco to-day (Saturday, New Zealand time,) on the inaugural flight of the company’s South Pacific Service, has been received hv Mr W. J. Mullahev. air base manager at Auckland. Colonel Young was for many years associated with the Bureau of Air Comerce, then the Civil Aeronautics Authority for the United States. Hi> became manager of the Pacific division of Pan-American Airways when the company first extended its services to the Pacific, and has bold that post since. Advice lias already been received that Mr Harold Gatty. New Zealand representative' for the company, will travel by the clipper, which will be under the command of Captain Tilton, with Captain Nixon as first officer; but the remainder of the personnel is not vet known.
