Present: Messrs Lawn (chairman), Stevenson, Moore, Coulson, -Davidson, Kelly, Havill, Shaw, Harper f Taylor ; Richards, McGregor, Heenan,. and Dr. Harrison. The Ross School wrote re football. —Received. i It was resolved to charge adults 1/for the rep. match on Saturday. The West Coast Rugby Union suggested, June 22 for the return match. —Received and agreed to. ■ It was resolved that ladies be charged 6d for:all competition games. Referees’ reports were received and considered satisfactory. SATURDAY FIXTURES. Greymouth v. Westland at Hokitika, 2.45 p.m. (referee W. J. Brown). Preasidents, School v. Kokatahi, at Mr. A. Stevenson, was appointed ■manager of the Westland team, and gatekeepers were appointed. It was .resolved that, uo fixture be drawn for the Pirate team until the Club replies to correspondence. G. Bradley was certified a s a member of Kiwi B senior team. QUEENSLAND BEAT N.S.W. SYDNEY, June 17. In the return Rugby League match to-day, Queensland defeated New :outh Wales by 19 points to 16. BALL IN SCRUM. DUNEDIN, June 18. The Rugby Union has decided to lotify all referees that in the future, a nlayer is to put the ball in the scrum instead of the referee. This decision « r as reached following a letter receiv'd .from the New Zealand Union, statng that the time is not opportune to seek a. dispensation from the • English Union for the referee to put the ball irf the scrum, and that the Union has no power to grant the .dispensation.
